Working hard on the Tigase.im/Jabber.me service

We are working hard with joined efforts on the new XMPP service: Tigase.im/Jabber.me. This is a free XMPP service where you can register an account for you.

This is not just the XMPP server, however. We aim at a very close integration with the website itself. The Tigase.im website runs on Drupal and Jabber.me website runs on Wordpress. Both domains are served by a single Tigase instance. The service also allows to use own domain names for your accounts and we are going to add more features very soon.

Krótka historia Tigase

Projekt Tigase istnieje już ponad 4 lata a strona tigase.org już 2, zaś profesjonalne wsparcie dla naszych produktów świadczymy od około roku.

Zaczęliśmy od serwera Jabber (XMPP), po czym rozszerzyliśmy działalność na stronę klienta. Początkowo tworzyliśmy samodzielny klient w Javie lecz okazało się, użytkownicy i klienci byli bardziej zainteresowani komunikatorami dla ich stron internetowych. Dlatego też połozyliśmy nacisk na dostarczanie szybkiego i stabilnego serwera XMPP oraz bibliotek umożliwiających tworzenie niestandardowych klientów AJAX. Cały stworzony przez Tigase.org kod jest wydany na licencji GPLv3 i dostępny na stronie projektu.

Zdecydowaliśmy się wyjść naprzeciw oczekiwaniom klientów zainteresowanych profesjonalnymi usługami rejestrując firmę Tigase w Polsce oraz Wielkiej Brytanii, oraz tworząc stronę tigase.com by dać im lepszy dostęp do informacji oraz stworzyć bardziej formalne relacje z klientami.

Tigase short history

Tigase project started in 2004 and the tigase.org website is online since 2006. We have been providing professional support and development services since 2008.

From the initial Jabber (XMPP) server implementation we expanded our development to the client side. Initially we tried to create a standalone Java client but people and companies were much more interested in Web - AJAX clients. Therefore our main focus is put to provide stable and fast XMPP server as well as a good code base for building custom AJAX clients. All the code we create within Tigase.org project is available under the GPLv3 license and you can download it from the project's website.

Tigase is now a registered entity in the United Kingdom and Poland. We decided to go online with Tigase.com website to give customers and people interested in a professional services better access to information and establish more formal way to work with clients.

The website is still under construction and I hope it will make the live easier for us and our customers in the future. If you have any suggestions or notices please don't hesitate to send your comments using the contact form.
